Skip grew up in Dalton, Georgia. He attended the University of Georgia, where he earned a BBA in Finance in 1986. Skip began his career as a Financial Advisor in October 1986, when he accepted a position with a large National Wire House. While there, Skip, in addition to managing his advisory business, served the office for two years as its Sales Manager. Also, during this time, Skip served on a National Advisory Committee, assisting in the development and implementation of new products and services focused on helping clients meet their retirement goals. In 2009, he earned the CRPC® designation from the College for Financial Planning. This Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation provides an advisor with the tools and expertise to help clients navigate their road to retirement. Since 2011, Skip has been an Independent Financial Advisor, partnering with LPL Financial to meet his client’s investment goals. He is proud to have just marked 35 years of providing such service.

Skip met his wife, Cynthia, in 1988. They were married in a destination wedding ceremony in Ocho Rios, Jamaica in 1992. They are blessed with one child, a daughter, named Erin, born in 1996. Erin is a graduate of Baylor School in Chattanooga, Asbury University in Wilmore Kentucky and has recently earned her Master’s degree from Western Kentucky University. Skip enjoys working out, attending his daughter’s sporting events, and traveling with his family.
